This multimedia project is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky. The installation recreates the process of filming that Tarkovsky used to create his celebrated final film, Sacrifice, through the use of unique photo and video materials as well as the director’s personal belongings and artifacts. Layla Alexander-Garrett, a close friend of and a personal assistant to Tarkovsky, will share her memories about working with him.
